A Review of the Bissell Upright Vacuum Cleaner Model Cleanview Helix 82H1

The Cleanview Helix is a model of Bissell upright vacuum cleaner that's been popular for quite some time now. The CleanView Helix is actually a line of vacuum cleaners – there are three models there, priced for three different kinds of budget.

The cheapest of the lot, the 82H1, is one of the best Bissell upright vacuum cleaner models out there. It uses a powerful 12 amp motor to suck up a storm, and the patented helix dirt separation system that Bissell uses completely filters the air coming in. The tools that they throw in are a big favorite with customers as well. For instance, there's something they call their turbo brush that you are supposed to use for cleaning upholstery and the stairs. There's another upholstery brush that's very effective for sofas as well.

Of course, this kind of power doesn't come in a lightweight machine. This model of Bissell upright vacuum cleaner weighs a full 20 pounds, and it can be a bit difficult if you're a small person or a child.

The 82H1 is a great choice of vacuum cleaner for anyone who needs a machine to keep dust allergies at bay. It comes with a HEPA filtration system. Have you always wondered what HEPA stands for? It's High-Efficiency Particulate Air. Anytime a machine claims to do HEPA, you can be sure that it is more than 99% efficient in taking out particulate matter.

Now the 82H1 is a bagless machine. Which should be a great thing – it saves you the expense of buying replacement bags. But this isn't often as convenient as it should be. To begin with, the HEPA filter certainly is something you need to replace from time to time.

That can cost something. And then, the main reusable and washable dirt bag tends to get clogged up really quickly. What happens when you don't wash that bag out all the time? Well, a clogged bag will easily cut down on the suction of your machine. If they could fix this, you wouldn't have to clean that bag every week. But if you can live with that, this would be the perfect vacuum cleaner.

The 82H1 has a great dirt loosening system. It comes with two separate rotating brushes that work all the time. You might have a few misgivings with this using such vigorous action if you have
delicate carpets to clean. Unfortunately, there is no separate on-off switch for the motorized brushes. If you could live with this little shortcoming, this really would be the vacuum for you.
